Spinach
You will need….
2 cans of spinach
2 cloves of fresh garlic (crushed and diced)
1 half of a White Onion
2 tablespoons of oil
2 strips of bacon
1 tablespoon of Cavender’s Greek Season
2 eggs
1 cup of shredded Cheese (Velveeta, White American, etc.)
Directions…
In a large skillet add oil, wait until it is hot. Then add bacon, fry until done. Then add all veggies. Stir until soft In that same skillet add your Spinach and stir Once the Spinach starts to boil break your eggs on top of it. Then shake your season on the egg and the spinach. Take a fork and mix your egg into the Spinach. Once egg starts to turn white all the way through it is done. Add shredded cheese on top and serve.
Granny’s Green Beans
You will need ….
2 cans of green beans
2 cloves of fresh garlic, crushed and diced
4 strips of bacon
half of a white onion chopped
1 table spoon of Cavender’s Greek season
2 table spoons of oil
Directions….
In a skillet add oil. Wait until it is hot and add bacon. Cook until it is done.
In that same skillet add garlic, onion and season.
When veggies start to soften, add your green beans (do not Drain)
Bring to a boil for about 20mins until hot and enjoy!
YAMS
You will Need….
5 med. size sweet potatoes (peeled and cut round in 2 inch slices and washed)
2 cups of granulated sugar
1 stick of BUTTER
1 tablespoon of Rum Flavoring
1 tablespoon of Nutmeg and cinnamon
Directions…
Place cut sweet potatoes in a large skillet. Put butter on top of them, add sugar, flavor , nutmeg and cinnamon. Place skillet on med heat and cover with a top.
Let cook for 30 min turning occasionally ( cooking time will change according to how soft you want your yams.). Potatoes will become soft and sugar will form syrup. NO WATER NEEDED! Enjoy!!
